Q: Super interesting! Were the objects actively handling game logic in the world? I.e. if you destroyed/deleted them, the spell economy goes boom?
A: If memory serves, prior to launch, an admin could pick up the spell economy and then log off with it. The item would get unloaded from memory, and would not longer respond to queries about stats for spell power, which resulted in ‘bad things’ happening.
